Look. We all can be a bit embarrassed about things that happened in our past (blonde streaks and flares, anyone?) But one thing I find a real turn off is celebrities who have a go at the people or places where they got their start. Like, they invented you! Stay humble! Some who forgot the memo include:

Whilst not a household name, Lulu is best remembered as Emma Thompson and Alan Rickman's daughter in the much-loved 2003 rom-com, Love Actually (made our list, that's for sure). Despite beating a casting call of what would have been thousands and landing her a prime gig, Lulu chose to talk shit about the film, stating, "Look, softly be it spoken I think it's a shit film. I think it's aged badly...On re-watching, it's not great." Like, you can think what you want - but maybe don't talk shit about the opportunity you were given to the press? Off it.

she's had stints on Grey's Anatomy, The Good Wife and The Slap, was Golden Globe nominated for In Treatment, and has done a string of films in the US as well. Hey, good on her - but that doesn't mean you shouldn't be happy about your big break, (which was on Nikki's dream job show), none other than Australia's beloved Home and Away. After being called 'Home and Away actress' Melissa George on Aussie tv, she cracked it, stating, "I don’t need credibility from my country anymore, I just need them all to be quiet. Look, this one can be two-fold, because while it is arguably how many artists from the show got fame, many had zero experience in the spotlight and how it would affect them. After appearing on the show in 2007, Australian singer Matt Corby told Music Feeds that going on the show was "A big fucking mistake." He also stated in an interview for Newscorp that, "When you are young, you think being serious is how you get taken seriously. It’s probably a post-Idol thing...I am someone who looks more to the negative than the positive as well, so I took all the negatives out of that and thought, bugger, I’ve ruined everything." Did he, though? Would we know who he is without it? (Still hot though). Sidenote - I missed his season because I was living overseas. My mum was OBSESSED, with both the show and Matt. Like, she votes and shit. The day I got home, we went to a restaurant and he was inside. Mum Lost. Her. SHIT. Fan girling like a 13 year old. I was jet lagged as hell and it was...intense.

Once touted as the next big movie star thanks to roles in films like 27 Dresses and Life As We Know It, Katherine was also big on the tv circuit thanks to her role in a little known show called Grey's Anatomy. Instead of being thankful for her big break when she was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the show, she withdrew her nomination, stating, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the Academy organisation, I withdrew my name from contention." it was quite the slap in the face to the writers of the program. They retaliated - by writing her off the show.

Aside from an appearance in Harry Potter, R. Patz was not really famous before Twilight, the movie that put him into the stratosphere. Yeah, the fame may have been overwhelming, that's fair, but you know...cry into your millions, instead of stating, "It’s weird kind of representing something you don't particularly like" and that you would have ...mindlessly hated" the series had he not appeared in it. That's just vish to Stephanie Meyer.
